PERSONAL DATA REGULATIONS

OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PHOTO CONTEST
“NEWS PHOTO AWARDS. A CHANGING WORLD”

1.1. These Personal Data Regulations of “NEWS PHOTO AWARDS. A CHANGING WORLD” international professional photo contest (hereinafter the «Photo Contest») contain the terms and conditions and personal data processing policy of the Photo Contest Organizer (Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Information Telegraph Agency of Russia (ITAR-TASS)” (location: 10-12 Tverskoy Blvd., Moscow 125993, Russia, PSRN: 1037700049606, TIN 7703082786, CRR 770301001) (hereinafter the «Organizer»)).

Photo Contest venue: on the Internet (globally), on the website http://npacontest.com/ (hereinafter the «Website»).

1.2. Participation in the Photo Contest means that the Participant fully and unconditionally accepts the Photo Contest Rules, as well as agrees to the processing and use of personal data provided by such Participant.

1.2.1. The Organizer does not collect information including personal data from persons under the age of 18. If you are a parent or a guardian and you become aware that your children have provided Personal Data to the Organizer, you should contact and inform the Organizer by email: info@npacontest.com. If the Organizer becomes aware that it has received Personal Data from minors without confirming their parents’ consent, the Organizer will take measures to delete such information from the Photo Contest website.

1.2.2. For the purposes hereof, Personal Data shall mean any information related directly or indirectly to a specific or identifiable individual (personal data subject), including, but not limited to: last name, first name, patronymic, age, phone number, email address, nationality and citizenship, identity document data, place of work, IP address, postal address, photo materials, location information, date and time of the Website visit, online ID and other information which the Participant provides by filling out forms/fields on the Website, or received by the Organizer through cookies when the Participant is linked to the Website page.

1.2.3. Cookies are used by the Organizer in accordance with the Cookie Policy for the following purposes:

• authentication of Participants and Website users;

• as part of the security measures to protect user accounts, including preventing fraudulent use of login credentials, as well as to protect the Website and the Organizer’s services in general;

• as well as for data analytics purposes.

1.3. By submitting an Application to participate in the Photo Contest, Participants give the Photo Contest Organizer and Co-Organizers their consent to the processing (including, but not limited to: the collection, systematization, accumulation, storage, detailing, use, distribution, transmission, depersonalization, blocking, destruction) of their personal data for the purposes of the Photo Contest on the Photo Contest Website and in the Photo Contest accounts in social networks in accordance and in the manner stipulated by the applicable legislation of the Russian Federation.

1.3.1. The Participant’s information, including Personal Data, may be transmitted and stored on computers located outside the state jurisdiction of the Participant, where the laws on personal data protection may differ from the laws adopted in the Participant’s jurisdiction.

Personal Data provided by the Participant to the Photo Contest Organizer shall be received and processed in the Russian Federation.

The Participant’s agreement to these Regulations and the Photo Contest Rules followed by the submission of personal data the Participant shall be deemed to have expressed his consent to such transfer.

1.3.2. The Organizer shall take all reasonable steps to ensure the safe handling of Participants’ Personal Data, and no transfer of Participants’ Personal Data shall occur unless appropriate control measures are taken, including the security of data and other personal information.

1.3.3. The Organizer and Co-Organizers and their authorized representatives shall process the Photo Contest Participants’ personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Russian Federation.

1.4. By submitting an Application to participate in the Photo Contest, Participants agree to the use of their personal data for the following purposes: for the organization and conduct of the Photo Contest, posting information on the Photo Contest website and in the social media accounts, including promotional information about the Photo Contest, in order to create works reflecting and describing the procedure and conditions of the Photo Contest, to publish the results of the Photo Contest and the fact of conducting the Photo Contest, in order to promote the Photo Contest Organizer and Co-Organizers and their products/services, to send newsletters containing information about the status of the submitted application and the results of the contest work assessment, about actions with the account, advertising messages about the Photo Contest Organizer and/or Co-Organizers, as well as about their products/services. The Photo Contest Organizer and/or Co-Organizers may use Participants’ personal data for the above purposes and transfer these data to third parties having contractual relations with the Photo Contest Organizer and/or Co-organizers, for the entire period of the Photo Contest and within ten (10) years after the Contest is over.

1.5. Participants shall agree to the processing of personal data specified by submitting the Application to participate in the Photo Contest, as well as personal data provided to the Organizer and Co-Organizers. The consent may be withdrawn by sending a corresponding request to the Photo Consent Organizer and Co-Organizers in writing to the following address: 10-12 Tverskoy Blvd., Moscow 125993, Russia or by sending the withdrawal notification to the Organizer’s email address: info@npacontest.com.

1.6. The Participant may receive information from the Organizer regarding the processing of his/her personal data.

1.7. The Participant may request the Organizer through email: info@npacontest.com to clarify his/her personal data, block or delete the same if the personal data is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, illegally obtained or not necessary for the stated purpose of processing, as well as take legal measures to protect his/her rights.

1.8. The Participant shall decide to provide his/her personal data and consents to processing thereof freely, voluntarily and in his/her own interest by filling out and submitting the Application to Participate in the Photo Contest on the Website.

1.9. The security of your Personal Data is important to us, but please remember that no method of data transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
